Connie Stowers quit her job, left her marriage, and found freedom — and fitness — through roller skating, transforming her life both mentally and physically.
March 29, 2025: Connie Stowers, a 38-year-old woman from Rhode Island, USA, is turning heads with her powerful transformation story — not just of weight loss, but of reclaiming her life.
In 2020, Connie seemed to have it all: a high-paying corporate job, a husband, a young daughter, and a beautiful home. But behind closed doors, she felt unfulfilled, trapped in a life that lacked meaning. During the pandemic, her mental health spiraled, and she turned to food and wine for comfort. Within a year, she gained nearly 100 pounds, reaching her heaviest at 297 lbs (approximately 135 kg).
“I wasn’t thriving—I wasn’t even surviving,” Connie shared. “I was stuck in a life that was slowly breaking me down.”
In 2021, she made a bold decision — she left her marriage, quit her six-figure job, and followed her long-suppressed dream of starting her own real estate business. But it wasn’t just work that changed her path. She discovered roller skating — and it became the catalyst for a complete personal reinvention.
“The moment I tried skating, I felt free. It brought me back to life. It challenged me, gave me confidence, and made me feel like myself again,” she said.
Since then, she has lost nearly 100 pounds (45 kg), not just through exercise, but through rebuilding her mindset and lifestyle from the ground up. Today, Connie runs a thriving real estate company and roller skates around the world, sharing her story to inspire others to break free from their limitations.
“I want people to know — you’re never too old or too far gone to start over. Change is possible at any age.”
